The Eagles got on the board with their first point of the 2019-2020 GBHL season this past weekend at Coastal City in Shenzhen. A remarkable defensive and goaltending display earned them a 4-4 tie with Kunlun Red Star (KRS).
In the abbreviated U8 weekend, the Eagles would succumb 4-1 to the Junior Tigers in their second game of the day. The final game between KRS and the Tigers was as dramatic as it gets, with KRS notching the winning marker with under two minutes remaining in the game. The GBHL resumes action on February 7th after taking a short break for Chinese New Year.
